Rugiet is a telehealth platform that sells prescription medications for hair growth, weight loss, and men’s health issues, including sexual health issues like erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE). Its sexual health medications include sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra®) and tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis®).

In this guide, we’ll review Rugiet’s PE and ED medications, how they work, and how much they cost.

We’ll also discuss alternative options for ED treatments to help you decide on the best course of action.

Here’s a quick look at Rugiet’s telehealth services.

  • Who? Rugiet sells prescription medications for erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, as well as medications aimed at weight loss and hair regrowth.

  • What? Rugiet sells three sexual health products: Rugiet Ready, Rugiet Boost, and Rugiet Go Long. Rugiet Ready is a 3-in-1 sublingual tablet containing sildenafil, tadalafil, and apomorphine. Rugiet Boost is a cinnamon-flavored chewable ED tablet containing tadalafil and DHEA, which is a hormone involved in estrogen and testosterone production. And Rugiet Go Long is a 2-in-1 containing tadalafil and paroxetine (the active ingredient in Paxil®).

  • How much? Plans at Rugiet start at $2.70/dose for Rugiet Boost and $10/dose for Rugiet Ready, and starting at $1.95 for Rugiet Go Long.

Rugiet is a telehealth platform that sells prescription medications for a number of health concerns, including erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, in various formulations: dissolvable troches or lozenges, chewable tablets, and standard pills.

Across three unique products, ingredients include sildenafil and tadalafil, which are PDE5 inhibitors that help men get and keep erections by boosting blood flow to the penis. One of Rugiet’s products also contains apomorphine, a dopamine promoter, and another contains paroxetine, an antidepressant commonly prescribed for PE.

Rugiet allows customers to meet virtually with licensed healthcare providers and order medication online if they’re cleared for care.

The platform is accessible in all 50 states, including Washington, D.C.

Rugiet’s medications for ED and PE include:

  • Rugiet Ready (sildenafil, tadalafil, and apomorphine)

  • Rugiet Boost (tadalafil and DHEA)

  • Rugiet Go Long (tadalafil and paroxetine)

Rugiet Ready

Rugiet Ready is a fast-acting, sublingual ED medication containing tadalafil, sildenafil, and apomorphine. This 3-in-1 formula tastes like chocolate and mint and dissolves under the tongue. While sublingual medications are designed to enter the bloodstream faster, some people may find this delivery method difficult, as you must keep the tablet under the tongue for up to 10 minutes to dissolve.

The products offered by Rugiet use similar ingredients to FDA-approved medications like Viagra, Cialis, and Paxil.

Viagra and Cialis are some of the most commonly prescribed ED medications, proven to be effective in 60 to 70 percent of patients.

And apomorphine, the other ingredient in Rugiet Ready, helps users achieve erections within 30 minutes of taking the medication, sometimes as quickly as 10 minutes after dosing.

Studies also show that paroxetine is more effective than a placebo in improving premature ejaculation, with well-tolerated side effects. Some research also suggests that combining paroxetine and tadalafil provides better results in terms of helping sex last longer and increasing satisfaction versus paroxetine alone in PE patients.

The various ingredients in Rugiet’s offerings work differently. PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil and tadalafil work as vasodilators. They inhibit the action of the PDE5 enzyme, which leads to an increase in cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which causes blood vessels to widen. This allows better blood flow to the penis, a key component of getting an erection.

Apomorphine works a little differently. As a dopamine agonist, the medication activates a specific area in the brain called the paraventricular nucleus, which triggers signals that lead to an erection.

Paroxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that helps improve premature ejaculation by delaying ejaculation, as delayed ejaculation is a common side effect of these types of medications.

Like any medication, Rugiet products carry a risk of side effects.

The most commonly reported side effects of PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil and tadalafil include:

  • Headaches

  • Flushing

  • Dizziness

  • Nasal congestion

  • Upset stomach

  • Back pain

  • Visual changes

  • Low blood pressure

Though rare, more serious side effects can occur, such as:

  • Hearing loss

  • Vision loss

  • Priapism (a painful erection that lasts more than four hours)

Patients should not use PDE5 inhibitors if they are taking other ED pills, enhancement supplements, nitrates, or nitroglycerin.

These medications may also not be safe for those with certain health conditions like hypertension (high blood pressure), hypotension (low blood pressure), a history of heart failure or angina, and those recovering from a heart attack or stroke.

Side effects of paroxetine include:

  • Dry mouth

  • Drowsiness

  • Loss of appetite

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Sweating

Though Rugiet doesn’t require an in-person visit to a doctor’s office, you do need to consult with a licensed medical provider before ordering prescription medication.

The first step is completing an online medical questionnaire so one of the board-certified doctors in the Rugiet Health network can evaluate your health and determine if medication suits your needs.

You and your Rugiet provider will work together to determine the right medication and dose. All these steps will be completed virtually, either through messaging, phone calls, or video chat with the provider.

If you’re prescribed medication, your order will be shipped directly to your door in discreet packaging, anywhere in the U.S.

Pricing at Rugiet Health varies depending on the product, dose, and amount.

Rugiet Ready starts at $10 for the lowest dose, with a three-month prescription, and Rugiet Go Long, starts at $1.95 per dose.

We couldn’t find pricing information for the Rugiet Boost product on the website.

Rugiet also offers one-time purchases, but they don’t include a free consultation—that’s $20 extra. Refunds and returns are unavailable.

As a subscription-based model, Rugiet allows you to order your medication monthly or every three months.

Rugiet has an A- rating from the Better Business Bureau but is not BBB-accredited.

On TrustPilot, Rugiet is rated 4.1/5 stars. Customers have praised Rugiet for its customer service and product effectiveness. Others have found the product too expensive, and some have had difficulty canceling their subscription.

No, Rugiet products are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration because the FDA does not approve compounded medications.

However, these medications are made in licensed compounding pharmacies. On the FAQ section of the website, Rugiet explains that they complete regular audits and routine batch testing to verify that every medication meets strict quality requirements.

Here’s a quick review of Rugiet’s pros and cons regarding their sexual health products.

Pros:

  • You can complete your medical evaluation and order medication (if prescribed) on the Rugiet website.

  • Rugiet’s products contain similar ingredients to brand-name Viagra, Cialis, and Paxil but are generally more affordable.

  • Rugiet offers 3-in-1 and 2-in-1 medications to treat various symptoms at once.

  • Rugiet products come in various forms: sublingual, chewable, and standard pills.

  • Rugiet offers multiple dose options and dose quantities.

  • Rugiet ships throughout the U.S., including Washington, D.C.

Cons:

  • Rugiet only offers three sexual health products with limited dose options.

  • Flavors are limited. The Rugiet Ready product only comes in a chocolate-mint flavor, Rugiet Boost is cinnamon-flavored, and Rugiet Go Long is flavorless.

  • You need to order and pay for your prescription online, which may be challenging for some people.

  • One-off orders require a consultation fee.

  • Rugiet doesn’t accept insurance.

Erectile dysfunction medications like sildenafil and tadalafil are considered first-line treatments, but they’re not the only options. For instance, some people find a significant improvement in ED and PE by making lifestyle changes or seeing a therapist.

Other ED solutions include vacuum erection devices, alprostadil injections, and penile implants.

Other PE solutions include topical anesthetics (which can be purchased over the counter) and techniques like the stop-start or squeeze technique.

Other telehealth platforms work similarly to Rugiet but may offer more ED and PE medications.

Online health platforms like Rugiet take the hassle out of accessing medication for sexual health issues. But is it the right choice for you? Here are three key takeaways before you commit:

  • Rugiet only offers three sexual health products. Rugiet only offers three products aimed at sexual health, with limited dose options. However, these products do contain effective active ingredients like sildenafil, tadalafil, and paroxetine, which have been studied thoroughly for sexual dysfunction.

  • Rugiet’s products come in various formulations. If you can’t swallow due to a medical condition, you may find Rugiet’s sublingual or chewable forms appealing. Rugiet also offers standard pills with its Go Long product.

  • Rugiet’s reviews are mixed. Though the BBB gives Rugiet an A-rating, it isn’t accredited. TrustPilot scores Rugiet at 4.1/5 stars.
