Vogelxo® is a prescription topical testosterone gel used for testosterone replacement therapy in adult men with hypogonadism, a condition where the body does not produce enough of the hormone.
Vogelxo helps restore normal testosterone levels. It is applied once daily to clean, dry skin on the shoulders and/or upper arms. Dosing may vary based on the person’s testosterone levels and response to the medication.
Side effects are generally mild, but in rare cases, Vogelxo may be associated with more serious adverse effects such as elevated red blood cell count or worsening of underlying prostate conditions. Vogelxo also poses potential harm to others via secondary exposure, especially women and children. Proper application techniques and hygiene are essential in order to reduce these risks.
Regular monitoring by a healthcare provider is necessary for ensuring safe and effective use of this medication.
Vogelxo (testosterone) is indicated for:
Testosterone replacement therapy in males for conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone:
Primary hypogonadism (congenital or acquired)
Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (congenital or acquired)
Androgen
Most common adverse reactions (incidence ≥2% of the testosterone gel patients and greater than placebo) are:
Application site reactions
Increased hematocrit

Exogenous administration of androgens may lead to azoospermia

Sleep apnea may occur in those with risk factors
Monitor prostate specific antigen (PSA), hematocrit, and lipid concentrations periodically
