Our story

We believe our approach enables almost every household in the nation to access a level of personalized care that has historically only been available to the wealthiest subset of the population. We have providers in all 50 states, and have consciously developed our platforms to eliminate pain points in the typical healthcare process.
Hims & Hers were founded to fight stigmas around health and wellness issues, and to break down barriers for people looking for an easier, more affordable alternative to traditional healthcare. No copays, high drug prices, long wait times, or inflexible scheduling. Just quality care from licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists, all from the comfort of home.
As one of the fastest growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands in history, Hims & Hers’ healthcare model is data-driven and patient-focused. Creating a seamless experience from diagnosis to prescription to delivery has helped us foster a loyal and eager base of patients, and have powered millions of digital healthcare visits1 across the Hims & Hers brands.

How telehealth works

Refined online process, superior patient experience

Depending on a patient’s specific healthcare needs, they enter into a simple, online, intake process wherein they answer questions, and upload photos (if appropriate for their concerns).
This information is then reviewed by a licensed medical provider in the patient’s state. The provider can follow up with specific questions, answer questions the patient asked in intake, and/or make a clinical diagnosis. For severe or specialized conditions, providers will refer patients to a specialist outside of the Hims & Hers platform.
If treatment is appropriate, a provider can then prescribe medication and Hims & Hers will ship directly to the patient’s home.
Patients who obtain treatment through Hims & Hers have access to continued care from providers to ensure ongoing satisfaction with their treatment.

We believe that everyone, regardless of who they are, should have access to healthcare. To support this vision we advocate for legislative policies across the country that include allowing patients to receive care through asynchronous telehealth, as well as advancing broadband access and adoption.

Coalition (TEC)

As a co-founder of TEC, we have partnered with 100+ nonprofit, academic, and industry organizations to improve health equity for all communities. We are working to illuminate and address systemic barriers to equitable telehealth adoption, including digital access and literacy, cost of care, and distrust in the healthcare system.
