Membership

What is the Hims Weight Loss Membership?

The Hims Weight Loss Membership gives you access to a range of GLP-1 medications if eligible, plus unlimited support from a dedicated Care Team.

Your membership includes in-app weight tracking to help you monitor your progress, dosage adjustments as your needs evolve, and support for managing common side effects. It also includes a smart scale at no extra cost* ($55 value**), making it easier for you and your care team to track your progress.

*Active Weight Loss Membership required. Scale opt-in required; ships separately. Not available in 50 states. Prescription required. Merchant retail suggested price.

Weight Loss Members who joined Hims prior to August 2026 may reach out to Customer Service at support@forhims.com or through the secure messaging portal in your account to receive their scale.

How much does the Hims Weight Loss Membership cost?

You’ll pay a $39 membership fee at checkout for your first month. After that, your membership auto-renews at $149 per month (medication cost not included). You can cancel anytime, but canceling your membership will also cancel any active medication plan and access to care through the platform. If prescribed, your medication is billed separately (monthly or upfront, based on your plan), and the price of the medication depends on your prescribed treatment, if eligible. You can cancel your medication plan anytime, and it won’t affect your active membership.

Is insurance required?

Insurance isn’t required, so there are no complicated insurance questions or health insurance plan considerations.

Do you take FSA and HSA?

The medication fee is FSA/HSA eligible, but the Hims & Hers Weight Loss Membership fee is NOT FSA/HSA eligible.

FSA/HSA cards cannot be used as a payment method on file. We recommend using a valid credit or debit card and submitting for reimbursement.

Payment with FSA/HSA card may require additional steps from your provider. If you happen to use your FSA/HSA card, your provider may reach out to request a receipt for reimbursement before processing the payment.

If this happens, head to the "Orders" tab to find your receipt. From there, you can download your receipt and follow your FSA/HSA provider's reimbursement instructions.

FSA/HSA eligibility and coverage varies by plan provider.

What if I’m already on a GLP-1 and want to switch to Hims?

First, you’ll complete an intake with us so our qualified network of providers can review your medical history and current treatment. In many cases, care can be continued without starting over. Throughout the transition, you’ll have access to licensed providers and unlimited messaging support to ensure a safe, smooth experience.

Are video visits with a doctor required?

Depending on your state, treatment may be determined without a video visit. If a visit is needed, scheduling a video or audio appointment is simple and convenient. If prescribed, a provider will be just a message away for follow-ups, adjustments, and ongoing support. Response times may vary.

Who qualifies for weight loss medications at Hims?

A state-licensed provider reviews the health history, weight loss goals, and unique patient needs of every individual patient to see if they qualify before prescribing any kind of treatment.

Are GLP-1s available in all states?

GLP-1s are not yet available in all 50 states. However, Hims is working to expand our offering as soon as possible.

How long do I need to stay on medication?

Weight loss treatment is meant for long-term use. When you stop taking it, the triggers that previously drove unhealthy eating behaviors may return. Always speak with a licensed medical provider before stopping treatment.

When will I see weight loss results?

Remember, results aren’t instant. Because everyone’s weight loss journey is different, the timeline for results may vary from person to person.

Can a provider change my dosage at any point during my treatment?

Hims members receiving weight loss medications can request a medication adjustment right from the app. If a provider determines a dosage change is necessary, they’ll write a new prescription and provide you with updated treatment information. Dosage and titration vary based on provider discretion. Pricing may vary by dosage.

What if I experience nausea?

It’s normal to feel some nausea in the first few weeks. If you need extra support, your Care Team and licensed providers are here to help you manage it. Head to the app for 24/7, unlimited messaging access.

Can my dosage be adjusted?

Yes, with a provider’s guidance. They can raise or lower your dosage as needed, or help you switch medications if that's a better fit.

Will side effects go away?

Some side effects are common when starting a new medication, and they usually fade as your body adjusts. If they’re hard to manage or don’t go away, a provider can help.
