Connecting the scale to the Hims App
Remove the plastic pull tab from the battery compartment on the back of your scale to activate the batteries.
NOTE:
Make sure the device you're using is compatible with both the scale and the app. You need an Android or iOS device with Bluetooth Smart or LE (Low Energy), also known as Bluetooth 4.0. If it's an Android device, it must be running 12 or above. An iPhone device must be on iOS 15.6 or above.
Weighing in on the scale
After you've paired the scale with the Hims app, place it on a hard, flat surface.
Step onto the scale with dry bare feet—the display will wake up automatically and start measurement, counting up until it settles on a reading.
When the orange "Weight Estimated" icon appears, step off the scale.
When the green "AccuCheck" icon appears, the result has been confirmed.
If a weight adjustment is detected, the scale will show the adjusted result and give two short beeps.
If you do not step off the scale, after ten seconds it will beep and turn off.
If the scale is connected to the app, the measurement will sync automatically once you step on the scale. If the two are not connected, the measurement will be stored first and synced later when the connection is available.

Troubleshooting
Why has my scale stopped working?
If your scale has stopped working, try these steps to restore normal operation:
1. Replace the 4 AAA batteries.
2. Make sure you're stepping on the scale with dry bare feet on a hard, flat surface.
3. Open the Hims app and confirm your scale is still paired in scale settings.
4. If the scale still doesn't power on or weigh you correctly, contact us and we'll help you troubleshoot.
Why isn't my scale syncing to the app?
Confirm that the mobile device you're using is compatible with both the scale and the app. These specs are included in the instructions for syncing, above.
For the scale and the app to sync, they must both be on and the scale’s Bluetooth must be activated by stepping on the scale. If your phone synced previous weigh-ins but isn't syncing now, you might be having trouble transferring new weigh-ins because the app isn't open when the scale is trying to sync. Be sure your device is in range with the app open when you weigh in.
If you still have trouble, make sure you've downloaded the latest version of the app.
What if my weight looks incorrect?
This can sometimes happen if you move the scale to store it, especially if you store it on its side. The scale has a feature called "auto-on" which allows users to just step on and weigh without first calibrating the scale. If you move your scale in between weigh-ins, however, that feature won't work correctly.
The scale calibrates itself when it turns off to prepare for your next weigh-in. If it's then picked up and moved, it might not be able to properly account for its own weight when you turn it back on, causing a perceived swing in your weight measurement of up to 4-5 pounds.
Many bathrooms are too small to keep the scale out at all times, but you can avoid this issue by calibrating the scale before you weigh yourself: Place the scale on a hard, flat surface, press it awake, and let it settle at 0.0. Once it has zeroed out, it will be calibrated and you can step on to weigh yourself.
What does an error message mean?
When the battery is low, the scale will show a low battery warning. Replace the 4 AAA batteries to resume normal operation and turn off the warning.
If the measured weight exceeds the weight limits, the scale will show an overload warning.
What is the scale's weight capacity?
You'll be sent a scale with a capacity appropriate for your current weight.
Can I edit any of my weight measurements?
You can edit the most recent weight measurement taken. Just keep in mind, once a new weight is recorded, all previous weight measurements will be locked and cannot be changed.

Can multiple people use the same scale?
The scale is designed for individual use and can only be synced to one person's account. For the most accurate tracking and personalized insights, each account holder should have their own scale.
What are some tips for better weigh-ins?
Consistency is key. Because your weight fluctuates during the day due to exercise, meals, etc., it's important to log weigh-ins under similar conditions each time to get a true picture of your progress. Try to follow a routine—for example, weigh yourself around the same time each day, or weekly on the same day each week.
