Biomarkers

What do the plans test for?

Your lab panels are processed by Quest Diagnostics and include 130+ biomarker tests. They span 10 vital health areas, like heart health, hormone health, metabolism, inflammation, and stress.

Why should I test for 75 biomarkers?

The 75+ biomarkers we test to measure your current baseline were hand-selected by a panel of experts, so you’re getting what actually matters to your long-term health. This breadth of biomarker results gives you insights into your body’s core systems and informs your expert-backed Action Plan so you can work on leveling up key areas of your health.

How comprehensive is this compared to a standard blood test?

Traditional healthcare labs usually test ~25 biomarkers, but your first panel through Labs by Hims tests 75+. You can also access your Biological Age, an estimation of how fast your body is aging by looking across your most critical systems. There’s no insurance required, only one appointment is necessary, and you’ll get an online, expert-backed Action Plan based on your results to help you try to improve your health over time.

How often should I retest my biomarkers?

You’ll get two blood draws per year, and you can schedule your next test for six months after your last one.

How accurate are the results?

Your lab results are processed through Quest Diagnostics. Founded in 1967, Quest offers broad access to clinical testing through a network of laboratories. Every year, they serve 1 in 3 adults, and half the physicians and hospitals in the U.S.

What is Biological Age?

Your Biological Age provides an estimate of how well your body is aging by looking across your most critical systems—from heart health and hormones, to inflammation and stress. It considers certain biomarkers typically associated with the human body at various ages and life stages.

As you make changes based on your personalized Action Plan, you can monitor if you’re able to lower your biological aging over time.

This calculation is for informational purposes only. It is an approximation of current aging status, should not be used as a diagnostic tool, and does not determine treatment plan eligibility.
