Important safety information

Meet Oral TRT

  • Restore healthy testosterone levels with an FDA-approved oral treatment—no needles, no injections, just a twice-daily pill

  • 96% of men reach normal levels within 90 days*

  • Your dose is personalized to your labs and symptoms

Kyzatrex® is FDA-approved for clinically confirmed low testosterone (hypogonadism). Kyzatrex® is not approved or evaluated by the FDA for the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of age-related testosterone decline but may be prescribed off-label at a healthcare provider's discretion.

About the ingredient

  • Kyzatrex® absorbs through your digestive system for a steadier path to healthy levels, no injections required

  • Two pills a day is all it takes to keep your testosterone stable from morning to night

  • Take twice a day with meals to help maintain steady levels throughout the day

How at-home lab collection works

  • To get started, lab testing is required to measure your current levels. After checkout, your initial at-home test kit will be on its way to you. Your kit is good for 3 months after its order date, so plan to use it before then.

  • When you're ready, collect a sample and send it to the lab for analysis. Once your results are uploaded to the app, you'll have a quick video visit with a licensed provider, who'll review them alongside your medical intake to determine your eligibility.

  • If prescribed, you'll receive ongoing labs and regular follow-ups throughout the year to stay on top of progress. This all comes included in your plan.

Potential side effects

  • Like many medications, there are potential side effects. Most of them are reversible and depend on the dose you’re on.

  • Potential common side effects include fertility suppression (decreased sperm count), mild increased blood pressure, increased hematocrit (high concentration of red blood cells), acne or oily skin, and hair loss

  • Less common side effects are headaches, upset stomach, edema, mood changes, gynecomastia (breast tenderness or enlargement), water retention, PSA increase, and worsening sleep apnea

  • Remember, your treatment includes access to unlimited messaging with your Care Team for any questions, plus free dosage adjustments as needed

Personalized through Hims

  • Your starting dose is set from your labs and symptoms—not a one-size-fits-all protocol

  • Your provider recalibrates your treatment as your body responds

  • Ongoing labs and check-ins help make sure your protocol keeps working for you over time

Frequently asked questions

What are my low testosterone treatment options through Hims?

Hims offers access to a range of treatments, including oral medications and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) injections. If eligible, a provider will review your lab results and health history to determine which treatment is appropriate for you.

How do I get started with my low testosterone treatment?

To start low testosterone treatment through Hims, you’ll fill out an intake form and collect a blood sample with an at-home test kit for a provider to assess your testosterone levels and determine whether you have a testosterone deficiency. If eligible, a treatment plan will be prescribed and a test kit shipped directly to you.

Does Hims offer access to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) injections?

Yes, Hims offers access to a range of treatment options, including testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) injections. Labs and prescription required.

Why am I required to collect a blood sample?

The at-home test kit is ordered by a healthcare provider as part of your intake. The test kit doesn’t diagnose conditions, but it’s essential for measuring your baseline testosterone levels, assessing for testosterone deficiency, and determining if you’re eligible for treatment. Monitoring your testosterone levels also helps ensure appropriate dosing, if deemed eligible,  and track improvement in your health over time.

How will I know if I’m eligible for medication?

Eligibility is determined based on your health history, lab results, and medical evaluation. A healthcare provider will review your total testosterone, hormone levels, and any symptoms of low testosterone, like decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, or mood changes, before prescribing any medication.

How do I receive and complete my at-home test kit?

As part of your visit, a healthcare provider will order labs processed in a CLIA-certified lab, which is required to determine your eligibility for treatment. Through Hims, you can collect your labs from the comfort of home.

You’ll check out with an initial at-home test kit, which will be sent directly to your doorstep. The kit comes with everything you need to take your blood sample at home, along with detailed, step-by-step instructions to help guide you. You’ll collect one sample and send it  to the lab for analysis using the same packaging your kit came in and a convenient prepaid return label.

Why do I need to ship my sample back the same day I collect it?

For an accurate lab reading and to avoid a redo, ship your sample via UPS the same day you collect it —just use the prepaid shipping label included in your kit.

If eligible, how much does testosterone treatment cost?

You’ll pay a $49 membership fee at checkout (medication cost not included). You can cancel anytime, but canceling your membership will also cancel any active medication plan and access to care through the platform. If prescribed, your medication is billed separately (monthly or upfront, based on your plan), and the price of the medication depends on your prescribed treatment, if eligible. Treatment costs start at $49 per month. You can cancel your medication plan anytime, and it won’t affect your active membership.

Membership is billed separately and does not include or guarantee a prescription. Medication is not available without a membership. Membership fee is not included.
