The information below includes important safety information about Sex Rx + Climax Control, which is a compounded medication that contains the generic versions of the brand name drugs Cialis® and Prozac®. Read this information before you begin taking Sex Rx + Climax Control.

WARNING: SUICIDALITY AND FLUOXETINE Fluoxetine and other similar medicines may increase suicidal thoughts or actions, especially in some people 24 years of age and younger within the first few months of treatment or when the dose is changed. Watch for these changes and inform your healthcare provider right away if you notice new or sudden changes in mood, behavior, actions, thoughts, or feelings, especially if severe. Pay particular attention to such changes when Sex Rx + Climax Control, which contains fluoxetine, is started or when the dose is changed.

Do not take Sex Rx + Climax Control if you:
  • Are allergic to fluoxetine, tadalafil, or any of the ingredients in Sex Rx + Climax Control. Inactive ingredients include magnesium stearate, sucralose, microcrystalline cellulose, silica, maltodextrin, dextrose, FD&C Yellow #6 and FD&C Red #40.

  • Take any medicines called monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), or if you have stopped taking and MAOI in the last 14 days

  • Take tamoxifen

  • Take other medication that may cause a dangerous change in heartbeat, such as:

    • azithromycin

    • clarithromycin

    • erythromycin

    • ketoconazole

    • amitriptyline

    • clomipramine

    • imipramine

    • Doxepin

    • Some antipsychotics such as haloperidol

  • Drink large amounts of alcohol, use recreational drugs or abuse prescription medications - or suddenly stop substance abuse habits

  • Take medications called nitrates, such as isosorbide or nitroglycerin, which are used to treat patients with certain heart diseases

  • Take medications called guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat (Adempas)

  • Take other medications or treatments for erectile dysfunction

  • Take medications or treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension

  • Take certain medications called SSRIs such as sertraline (Zoloft), paroxetine (Paxil), escitalopram (Lexapro) or other similar medications

  • Take certain medications called tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline, amoxapine, clomipramine (Anafranil), desipramine (Norpramin), doxepin, imipramine (Tofranil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), protriptyline, and trimipramine

  • Take certain medications called serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRI) such as desvenlafaxine (Khedezla, Pristiq), duloxetine (Cymbalta), levomilnacipran (Fetzima), and venlafaxine;

  • Take tramadol (Conzip, Qdolo, Ultram, in Ultracet);

  • Take nutritional supplements that contain St. John's wort or tryptophan.

  • Currently have or ever had a prolonged QT interval (a rare heart problem that may cause irregular heartbeat, fainting, or sudden death).

  • Currently have or have ever had bipolar disorder

  • Currently or have ever had a seizure disorder

  • Currently or have ever had a history of an eye condition called closed-angle glaucoma

  • Have ever experienced severe side effects from either tadalafil or fluoxetine

Sex Rx + Climax Control can cause small declines in your blood pressure that may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or even fainting in people sensitive to blood pressure changes. Be sure that you are well-hydrated and in a safe, controlled environment the first time that you take Sex Rx + Climax Control.

Inform your healthcare provider right away if you or a person you know who is taking Sex Rx + Climax Control has any of the following symptoms, especially if they are new, worse, or worry you:
  • Attempts to commit suicide

  • Acting aggressive or violent

  • New or worse depression

  • Feeling agitated, restless, angry, or irritable

  • An increase in activity or talking more than what is normal for you

  • Acting on dangerous impulses

  • Thoughts about suicide or dying

  • New or worse anxiety or panic attacks

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Other unusual changes in behavior or mood

  • Slowing heartbeat

  • A painful or prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours

  • Loss or reduction in hearing

  • Loss or reduction in vision

Inform your healthcare provider immediately if you:
  • Become severely ill and have some or all of these symptoms: agitation, hallucinations, coma, or other changes in mental status; coordination problems or muscle twitching (overactive reflexes); racing heartbeat, high or low blood pressure; sweating or fever; nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea; muscle tightness, as these may be the symptoms of a life-threatening condition called Serotonin Syndrome

  • Have a rash, hives, swelling, or trouble breathing as these may be the symptoms of an allergic reaction

  • Have seizures or convulsions

  • Have any increased or unusual bruising or bleeding, especially if you take the blood thinner warfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), or aspirin

  • Have a headache; weakness or feeling unsteady; confusion, problems concentrating, thinking, or remembering, as these may be the symptoms of low salt (sodium) levels in the blood (hyponatremia). Elderly people may be at greater risk for this.

Do not stop Sex Rx + Climax Control without first talking to your healthcare provider. Abruptly stopping can cause withdrawal symptoms including: vomiting, irritability, dizziness, headaches, sensation of tingling skin, or nightmares.

Some people are at risk for visual problems such as eye pain, changes in vision, or swelling or redness around the eye. You may want to undergo an eye examination to see if you are at risk and get preventative treatment if you are.

Fluoxetine can cause sleepiness or may affect your ability to make decisions, think clearly, or react quickly. You should not drive, operate heavy machinery, or do other dangerous activities until you know how bupropion affects you.

The fluoxetine in Sex Rx + Climax Control may increase the effects of alcohol. Consuming more than 1-2 alcoholic drinks is not recommended while taking Sex Rx + Climax Control, and you should never drive after any alcohol consumption while taking Sex Rx + Climax Control.

The most common side effects in adults treated with fluoxetine, one of the active ingredients in Sex Rx + Climax Control, include:
  • Headache

  • Nausea

  • Upset stomach

  • Loss of hunger

  • Diarrhea or constipation

  • Dry mouth

  • Runny nose and Flu-like symptoms

  • Increased sweating

  • Feeling nervous

  • Strange dreams

  • Restlessness

  • Fatigued

  • Sleepy or having trouble sleeping (insomnia)

  • Hot flashes

  • Sexual side effects, such as problems with libido, erectile function or orgasm, that in rare instances may persist after discontinuation of fluoxetine treatment.

Seek immediate emergency medical treatment while taking Sex Rx + Climax Control: Tadalafil + fluoxetine
  • If you develop thoughts about self-harm or suicide

  • If you develop eye pain, changes in vision (such as seeing colored rings around lights), and swelling or redness in or around the eye

  • If you develop sudden decrease or loss of vision

  • If you develop sudden decrease or loss of hearing

  • If you have erection that lasts longer than 4 hours

  • If you experience severe dizziness or fainting

  • If you have a seizure

  • If you experience signs of a dangerous condition called serotonin syndrome, which may include agitation, fever, sweating, confusion, fast or irregular heartbeat, shivering, severe muscle stiffness or twitching, hallucinations, loss of coordination, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

  • If you develop signs of severe allergy such as hives, difficulty breathing or swallowing, blistering or peeling of skin, or swelling of the face, throat, tongue, or lips

Operation of vehicles and heavy machinery while taking fluoxetine

You should know that fluoxetine may make you drowsy and may affect your judgment, thinking, and movements. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.

Fluoxetine and Male Fertility

Some research indicates that SSRIs may impact various measures of sperm quality including sperm concentration, motility, and DNA fragmentation. Other research has been reassuring and did not find an association between SSRI exposure and abnormal semen quality. Discuss the risks and benefits of continuing Sex Rx + Climax Control with a healthcare provider if you are having difficulty conceiving while taking Sex Rx + Climax Control.

The most common side effects of Sex Rx + Climax Control include all of the common side effects for tadalafil and fluoxetine. These include the following: headache, blurred vision, changes in color vision, indigestion or heartburn, stuffy or runny nose, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, flushing, pain in the stomach, back, muscles, arms, or legs, cough, rash, dry mouth, nervousness, anxiety, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, yawning, weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, unusual dreams, sexual problems including decreased sex drive, inability to get or keep an erection, or delayed or absent ejaculation and excessive sweating. Sex Rx + Climax Control does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.

Sex Rx + Climax Control is a compounded prescription medication used for the treatment of sexual dysfunction if determined medically appropriate and necessary by your provider. Sex Rx + Climax Control is not for females or children.

If you experience signs or symptoms of an allergic reaction, stop taking Sex Rx + Climax Control and seek medical attention immediately.
